The EM415Pro Automotive Circuit Tester is an essential tool for diagnosing open and short circuits in automotive electrical systems, operating within a voltage range of 6 to 42 volts. This diagnostic tool is especially effective for tracing wires hidden within bundles, conduits, behind panels, or beneath carpets and upholstery.
User-friendly in design, the tester allows you to easily connect the transmitter in series with the circuit or wire under examination—whether that’s in place of a blown fuse, across a connector, in series with an open wire, or within a light bulb socket. Once connected, scan the circuit or wire with the flexible probe to pinpoint trouble spots seamlessly.
Designed for versatility, this device is compatible with the latest generation vehicles that utilize either mixed or single 42-volt systems, ensuring that you can efficiently troubleshoot a wide array of automotive electrical issues. The circuit tester is internally safeguarded against power surges and overloads, enhancing its reliability and durability over time.
Featuring a 7-inch flexible probe, you can effortlessly reach wires in tight or congested locations. The built-in transmitter and receiver utilize LED indicators to clearly highlight open or short circuit conditions, while adjustable sensitivity settings cater to various tracing scenarios. Notably, this tool operates with non-contact technology, eliminating the need for wire piercing.
To utilize the receiver probe effectively, bend it as needed to access wires in challenging areas. Depending on circuit characteristics and the sensitivity settings, the probe can detect signals from the wire in multiple positions. For optimal performance, position the probe tip (black cap) perpendicularly (at a 90-degree angle) to the wire being traced, and either above or below the wire.
