The Noyafa NF-818L Underground Wire Tracer is a professional tool designed to accurately locate and trace buried and hidden wires. Ideal for electricians and DIY enthusiasts, this cable tester helps you quickly identify breakpoints and the direction of underground and wall-thru cables.

This versatile device is effective at depths of up to 2.6 feet and lengths of 1640 feet, making it suitable for a variety of applications, including buried sprinkler valves, dog fence wire break locators, and electrical wire tracers.

Equipped with a short circuit test function, the device allows you to identify any short circuits present in the lines under test, indicated by an illuminated short circuit light. The NF-818L supports both single-core and double-core wires and features an LED indicator and earphones for easy signaling.

To locate wires, simply turn on the receiver and move it back and forth. You’ll hear a beeping sound, which will weaken as you approach the breakpoint, ultimately fading when you are directly above it.

For enhanced signal strength, you can connect a ground stud using screwdriver blades or metal strips as a grounding medium.

**Important Notes:**

1. Do not use on live circuits to prevent damage; the Tester is intended for non-energized cables only.

2. When working with single-core or double-core wires, use the red alligator clips for the signal line and the black ones for the ground, neutral line, or unloaded connections.

3. For shielded or multi-stranded wires, note that while you may not determine the breakpoint due to potential signal interference, you can still test the line direction. In this case, ensure the red clip contacts the shielding layer.
